I’m honored to be a decorated Air Force Veteran. I'll always feel a great bond with my brothers and sisters of the armed forces. Aside from our charity work with the military, we also make sure we visit military bases and give free seminars throughout the year.

Here are some recent emails that I have received from these brave soldiers.

"Steve, when you do your thing, you help us do our thing. Thanks for the motivational support and for the package. I'll be sure to contact you when I get back home. We're on a humanitarian mission now so your essays and CD come in handy when the days seem long. God bless you man! And don't let anyone forget that we are here!"

"Every day is A Better Today! Thanks for sending love to us Jar-Heads all the way over here. Whenever something comes from y'all, we fight for who gets to open it. You really know how to keep us feeling like great Marines. Thanks!"

"Steve, what's an Air Force guy like you doing over there? - You're missing all the fun! Really though, we want to thank you for the CDs and for keeping us laughing and motivated. You're alright man! - Even for a former Air Force dude. Sleep tight brother, we're keeping watch."

"Hey Steve, we just want to thank you and the crew at A Better Today for all your support. Your letters & words come in handy when we're feeling down. Keep us in your prayers."

"Well, we're a long way from Virginia but your letters and packages keep us feeling good and closer to home. Thanks for the newspapers - what a great idea! If you guys at A Better Today were eligible for medals, we would submit you in a flash. Thanks again!"

(Note about the newspapers: I sent these troops a few copies of their hometown newspaper. I remember when I was in the military I used to love reading my hometown paper because it made me feel closer to home. There has been a great response and I'll continue to do it.)

"Steve, the ABT Community is alive and well here in the desert! Thanks for the words of encouragement and for never forgetting about us. We look forward to getting together when we’re back in the States. God Bless!”

“Keep up the great work! They play your show on the Armed Forces Network and it’s always a comfort to hear your New York accent all the way over here. LOL!  You’re still a soldier and an inspiration in our book Steve!”

“Please tell all of the Community members that we REALLY appreciate all they do for us. The emails, the supplies, the cards, the newspapers, and the prayers really mean a lot to us.”

“Hey Steve, your words, “Today is a new day”, are printed above our doors. They have become our motto and keep us going when times get tough. Thanks for the wisdom and support.”

“The generosity, compassion, and dedication of your A Better Today organization and community is commendable and worthy of honor. Keep the light of hope and freedom alive with your great works! Thanks!”

It's important we continue to support our brave brothers and sisters that serve our great nation. Truly supporting the troops mean more than just putting a magnet on your car; it's reaching out in simple ways to touch their lives and letting them know we appreciate them.
